Message	it's been through lots, even dropped it once. The drive still functions fine. I wouldn't worry about it, but as fuzzymonkey (lol) said, if its only being used for vehicle diagnostics then I'd get the SSD drive simply because I can... and its faster than a standard hard drive and, as mentioned, it has no moving parts which is a plus.
